Each wedding at Hartree has a sense of magic that can’t be truly described – from the tipis going up in front of the beautiful Hartree House, to the sense of occasion felt by every single member of the team, there’s something so special about watching all the careful planning and attention to detail coming together in celebration of a marriage.
Scott and Julie arrived at the Hartree Estate on Friday to begin their memorable weekend – enjoying the freedom of the grounds and settling into Hartree Lodge, their very own home-from-home for the weekend. The Lodge, set within the Estate, provides relaxed luxury with spacious living and a garden leading to a woodland walk. With the freedom to explore the Hartree grounds, Scott and Julie enjoyed seeing the final touches coming together for their special day ahead.
Saturday morning arrived with excitement in full swing. Julie and her bridesmaids enjoyed a casual morning of bride prep in the Lodge, with the hair and makeup team arriving mid-morning to get preparations underway, photographers at-the-ready to capture every special moment, and fresh wedding flowers arriving for the big event.
Hartree was soon abuzz with guests arriving for pre-ceremony drinks, and the stunning sound of bagpipes could be heard throughout the Hartree Estate as everyone took their seats in the tipis. Scott and Julie shared a moment together before walking down the aisle hand-in-hand, preceded by the bagpiper. They made their promises to one another in a tranquil and emotional ceremony, with smiles, confetti and a heartfelt round of applause from friends and family.
Time for the celebrations to begin! The newly-weds enjoyed a relaxed Champagne reception and Apéritifs whilst taking the opportunity to thank their guests who had come from far and wide to celebrate the special day. The couple and family photos were captured, before proceeding into the tipis once again, with everyone taking their seats for an evening of food, drinks and laughter. The speeches and toasts added further magic to the occasion, and the spectacular food soon began arriving, table by table, with every attention to detail taken care of by the Hartree team.
As the evening drew closer, guests gathered around to photograph the cutting of the cake and the first dance. Before long, guests were dancing into the evening, including traditional celtic dances, led by the caller in the band. Happiness and laughter ensued throughout, only stopping briefly for the evening cheese and charcuterie, served on beautiful handmade local Scottish oak and elm platters, before putting the dancing shoes straight back on…
Congratulations, Scott and Julie – and thank you for sharing your special day with us!
